And We’ll Always Be A Disco In the Glow of Love transforms personal grief into a collective sonic experience. Developed through conversations with eight close friends who had experienced bereavement, the work weaves nine distinct elements, audio memories, songs, and emotions, reflecting both personal and shared experiences of loss. The number nine references the Caribbean funerary tradition of Nine-Nights, a multi-day wake.  Experiences of ways in which mourning and memory can be expressed are shared, understood collectively and explored through sound.

The installation features live performances by Elaine Mitchener (11/5), Hannah Catherine Jones (19/5), and Rebecca Bellantoni (25/5), each responding to the space and the work’s themes.
