London-based composer, artist and DJ Ain Bailey presents an immersive exhibition bringing together her ongoing trilogy of films. Rooted in the artist’s biography and her relationship to Jamaica, the exhibition culminates in a newly commissioned work, 5C Jacques Road: Part One (2026), filmed during Bailey’s first visit to the island and tracing a personal journey through landscapes, everyday scenes and field recordings.
Alongside the new film, the exhibition includes the earlier works Untitled: Our Wedding (2022), a meditative exploration of the artist’s family history through her parents’ wedding album, and Version (2021), a layered sonic installation accompanied by text by Taylor Le Melle. Across sound, film and sculpture, Bailey’s work opens spaces for reflection on memory, grief, resistance and community.
Ain Bailey and Camden Art Centre were shortlisted for the Freelands Award 2023.
